I always wanted my own business, but since I was absolutely terrified of failure & the judgment of others, finding the courage to take any significant steps towards it felt pretty much impossible. Ideas & opportunities came & went & I missed the boat…every time!
Most of the entrepreneurs I knew were confident, outspoken people & although I was both at times, deep down, I was neither. So I tried to accept a life that was smaller than I’d dreamed of & exhausted myself working busy, meaningless, ‘good’ jobs, always wondering “is this all there is?”...
As each year passed, I became less proud, less confident, less hopeful & more frustrated, until eventually I couldn’t take it anymore. The thought of working for other people & living a life that didn’t feel like ‘mine’ for 30 more years horrified me & I knew I had to do something.
Around the same time, we relocated from Ireland to Australia & I wondered how to split my time between both countries. My requirement for the perfect business plan (which doesn’t exist by the way) now expanded to include time & location freedom…
…this led me to online business, a much better solution than I was ever looking for!

Decision Time...
The hardest decision I had to make was “right NOW is the time to start”. Soon after that, my next decision was “never, ever give up on your dream”.
Colleagues used to think I was weird because I enjoyed hiking holidays & adventure…but they just thought I was unrealistic. I dreamed of hiking the 2,650 mile Pacific Crest Trail, which would take months. I also wanted my own home to return to & a stable life, but it wasn’t really feasible…
…until I became a digital entrepreneur with a largely automated business & a little 1kg laptop to work on whenever I have WIFI…
Whatever your dream, chances are you CAN make it happen, but I can only show you the door to freedom.
You need to open it, you need to walk through it & you need to trust yourself to go out there & create your own freedom.
